What kind of email does the LG Voyager have? Is it web based, VZ wireless sync, or something else?

Probably all of them. You can use the HTML Browser, the Mobile E-mail for $5 for major e-mail brands like Yahoo and Verizon.net or Wireless Sync for $19.99.

Wireless Sync is basically like outlook, stores contacts, emails, calendar and syncs with your exchange server.

Mobile Email is JUST email, it will check POP Mail, webmail and others, it does notify you when new messages arrive. It's a good tool, I use it with my personal and work email and it does the job.

Actually it's not free on the iphone, you need to pay for the data plan! Premium plans with VZW include mobile email. Also the Voyager will have Mobile TV, turn by turn navigation, HIGH SPEED INTERNET, you can download music over the air, FREE Music ID.. I mean really the Voyager is a great great phone.

To the idiot who thinks that the real thing is a slow moving drag our butt network, and to think VZW turned down the iphone twice, because they knew that it wouldn't last. The Voyager has expandable memory, a network that works three times as fast as AT&T's, and the most reliable voice network (Yes VZW has just surpassed AT&T as the network with the fewest dropped calls. Watch you'll not see the commercials with that claim for AT&T any longer) out there. typing will be so much easier and the clarity of calls will be awesome.

Actually, per one of VW's phone magazines, Mobile Email does have the capability to alert you when you receive an email message but you have to set it up to do so. You might want to ask rob21i how to...

What is the difference between "mobile email" or just going to the web (hotmail, yahoo, aol etc...) and logging in on line? Is there a differrence? Also..what about Comcast email? Is that supported

Is there spell check?

Lots of questions.

See i am wondering to, I have never used the mobile email download, just the pop3 support through vcast. on that one you go to the web on phone select email and log in. I know mobile email has many more options but compared to wireless synce it will be lacking is my understanding. YOu can set up mobile email to go check for messages but not sure how that works and how well it works. Plus will you be able to open attachments and actually go through email client or does it just give you like a text message?

There is only one option, yes or no to alert you. I think it's every 15 mins.

Not sure about being alerted while on the phone or web.
