Review: BlackBerry Storm
Anyone get one yet? Please share thoughts.
I stopped by my local VZW store this afternoon and tried out the demos they had available. They were all buggy. The accelerometer did not respond well, and in fact, one of the two demos wouldn't even show the web in portrait mode...only landscape. The OS was very slow and at times the virtual keyboard would not go away once it was activated. Things were getting so bad that I even shut down and restarted both of the demo units to see if that would help. I just couldn't believe that they would display two units that performed so badly on opening day.

I've got mine here and it's pretty bad. At first I thought the in-store demo was just slow (hell, I remember the iPhone demos on launch day crashing left and right) , but it's just as bad. While composing an SMS mine just hung for about 10 seconds.
You're better off buying a real Blackberry. The touch UI isn't all that good and I just keep wishing for a jog dial or trackball given how unresponsive the screen is.
