Sprint should just get it over with and buy them.....that's my gut feeling and that's all! Thanks for reading.

Why would they? Clearwire is building a network for us, at no real cost.

They won't buy Clearwire for the same reason they won't buy Shentel, the agreement is more profitable than owning the resources and the company.

If Sprint did buy Clearwire look at the spectrum it gets. Clearwire right now is profitable and has an established base. Think about how it would benefit Sprint.

It wouldn't benefit Sprint. They would have to purchase Clearwire for the cost of their current customers and they spectrum that they own PLUS they would have to do the entire WiMax buildout on their own dollar.

Right now Sprint is going to get 50% of their WiMax network built for FREE!!!

It just wouldn't make fiscal sense right now to buy Clearwire. Maybe a few years down the road a merger could be looked at, but it is smart not to right now.

Well think of it like this. It could create a monopoly in a sense. You have Sprint-Nextel who owns most of the of the spectrum and Clearwire who own the rest. Think about how well getting Nextel did for Sprint. They got a huge chunk of spectrum and the stock increased greatly. Now if Clearwire stays by themselves they may allow other carriers to use their spectrum. I don't know the operations of Clearwire so it might have a negative impact, but I certainly think Sprint needs to get a stronghold on this market. If Clearwire starts profiting on this technology then Sprint maybe unable to takeover Clearwire.

But, Sprint and Clearewire just signed a 20 YEAR DEAL with the possibility of 3- 10 year extentions. And I'm SURE that there are exclusivity deals written in there..

I think Sprint is doing just fine.

This time? I always win!

Plus, didn't you read the linked story? It tells you right in there that it was a 20 year deal (which is how Sprint usually signed their deals with their affiliates).

Yes they are losing money right now,
They went public March 8, 2007. They are investing right now so of course you have to expect losses. In the long run they'll be profitable. I found this chart on Forbes.com.

Estimated P/E Company
2007 -12.4
2008 -7.5
2009 -6.3
Next 12 Months -11.4
