thats tough, if apple insists on selling at usd 500 pricepoint, esp in usa where majority want free phones. so to go with a brand such as apple, ppl might shell out a grand or so, not 5-6 grand

I cannot see Apple doing the entry level phone thing. Even this rumored iPhone Nano is supposed to be around $300 USD. At that price it does not sound entry level to me.
Most people I know [when it comes to the iPhone] either love it or hate it. Very few in the middle. They either find the iPhone innovative or crap.
And if in a 18 months Apple can sell 14 million of a single device then I would say they are on their way to cracking this list in 2010.
