They Brought It On Themselves

Poor Moto. But what do you expect? Their quality control is crap, their software is crap tons of bugs and slow-as-hell OSes.

Their phones release with buggy software, and fall apart too soon (remember the V265? Wotta POS that was.)

Moto seems to think that 'teh pretty' will save them (RAZR styling, cute marketing). But if you don't execute on the basics, your customers will leave you, its just a matter of when.

The success of the RAZR only delayed the inevitable. Moto needs to get better at software, and quality control, and they need to release some reliable phones. They need to care about quality, not just looks.

Second the "couldn't have said it better myself." Motorola is laping the field in the way of customer problems and complaints here at my little store....and we have been around since 1998. Maybe they should have stuck with the Startac. LOL

I think the quality of Motorola phones has vastly improved. Unfortunately, it may have been done too late.

I agree. I loved Motorola in the past and wouldn't take anything else. Then when I started to get V-series flip phones, I had problems with the earpiece not producing any sound during a phone call. First it was the V505, which I was hard on, but it still seemed in decent connection, and then the same thing happened to three Razrs. I ended up going to an older BlackBerry (which has been the most durable and reliable handset I have ever had).

If RIM's quality holds up with new phones like the Pearl, and some of the new offerings, they stand a good chance in the non-business handset market.
