Verizon To Allow Modem Use For EV-DO Handsets
Sprint's Price Better
So yes, Sprint kills VZW's price, for the same service.
And before any loyal VZW people say their network is better:
1) That is voice calling. EVDO is almost equal.
2) It isn't 2X better....
Flame away.

My question has always been Why is it such a concern if you're on a competitive network?
Twelve year olds need to have bragging rights, I guess.
I don't see what the big deal is either. I hear everyone complaining about how horrible Cingular is, yet, I get great coverage, more minutes than I know what to do with (for the right price), and the customer service has been great. It works for me.
Some people read these forums to get information..... so if you want to be 12 and read half the story, go ahead.
A flame would be if we said, "Oh, Verizon is absolute crap because Sprint has it cheaper"....which is not what anyone here said.
Methinks someone is worried.
So they insult that which they do not like/understand.
Such as calling us 12 years old for pointing out a fact.
It has been going down the tubes for the last year.
Whatever happened to VZW coverage?
It works poorly at my home and at my place of buisness.
It's all well and good when you have a superior service, but if you stay up on that throne, those below you may try a coup.... VZW hasn't done as much with their service as Sprint or Cingular.
EVDO Coverage ... last time I checked (like about 2 minutes ago), VZWs EVDO/VCast coverage area is like 5 times larger than Sprint's EVDO/Power Vision coverage area. Seriously, check the maps on their respective websites.
Customer service ... last time I checked the customer satisfaction indexes, VZW is at 71 (an increase from last year) out of a 100 while other carriers are still in the 60s. Cingular, in particular, is in the low 60s-high 50s. That's horrible.
VZW Coverage ... I remember a year ago there was barely coverage in the Carolinas. Now there is full coverage down there. Give it time. Yes, VZW does have the largest coverage out of all of the carriers (in t...

I used to convert a lot of Cingular customers to other carriers, including Verizon.
Operative term: Used to.
4-6 months ago, this dropped off almost completely. Now, we are converting more VZW customers than any other.
The customer service thing is something I have noticed lately; I compare how I am treated when I call VZW, Sprint, and Cingular. On a consistent basis, the VZW reps used to be the friendliest people out there, now they are definately not. Sprint used to be the worst; they have improved, but also are far from best. Cingular seems to have better reps; but I haven't dealt with them as much, so that may just be luck.
The coverage problems depend on where you are. Having excellent E...
