Yep! 😁

T-Mobile is planning a big wi-fi push in Q1. It makes perfect sense: they don't have the spectrum for 3G, so they have to do something. Wi-Fi is it.

There's also the Motorola A910 on the way, and Nokia has a few wi-fi phones in the pipeline as well.

If this phone will have Wi-Fi, how come it has a lower model number, and T-Mobile is pushing the T809 out, if the T709 will be better? What are they taking out of the T709 that is in the T809? Do you have a list of features for the T709? Thanks.

The T809 is slimmer and has Bluetooth, a memory card slot, and a swivel camera.

The T709 definitely doesn't have a swivel camera, and it's not "ultra-thin" (just thin).

The feature list I have is short, but it doesn't mention Bluetooth or a memory card slot, which I would expect if it had those features. It does mention MP3 player, so a memory card slot is possible, but I really doubt Bluetooth.

The T709 is more of a Wi-Fi enabled successor to e635 while the T809 is a higher end phone with more bells and whistles(albeit no Wi-Fi).

It is coming to T-Mo, but there is no date set in stone for it. The two greatest advantages to having this tech on the phone is it boosts the data speed on the phone when on Wi-Fi and you can use it at home even if you dont get great reception(like me) on the GSM network, instead using voip.
