No.

Synching via usb is dumb. If it was over EDGE and then UMTS (when it's available) I would want it more.

Nope

It has the same boring Motorola interface since the first v60. Whatever happened to the new Linux-based interface they are going to be rolling out?

TFlash cards only up to 512mb. For serious listeners, this just will not do. I have an iPod and would like this phone but 512 is not enough.

Im not sure about this one because i have not seen the full specs but I dont think it has bluetooth either. Bluetooth is a must for me.

It has both video recoding and bluetooth. You can find the spec from cinglar website. It definetly a good buy if you already have a iPod.

I think if you could somehow share the songs between your phone & iPod that would be great. They can't as far as I have read though.

yes i am going to get it. i do have a ipod already. but like you said nextel18, i dont like carring my phone and ipod. ok 100 songs is not great...but cmon i am not going to listen to 100 songs in one day..you could always change the songs..so i could live with 100 songs right now..plus ive been wanting a e398...since it didnt have 850 i dod not get it. you moto and apple will make a better version with more memory for more songs plus a better camera.

No,

all i like about this phone is its design and name, but i rather stick with my razr...i dont really care about carrying my cell and ipod at the same time....i have a 60gb ipod photo which i keep on its holster and my razr which i keepin my pocket...this phone doesnt have as much memory as i would like it too for a music phone i rather keep my 5mb memory razr than getting a 512mb phone built for songs when it could only keep a hundred, they should have made it atleaset the same ammount of memory as the the ipod mini..GOSH

No question about it, I will pick this up as soon as I can get my greasy mitts on one, but I do have one problem with it potentially...I hope it is able to act as an iPod without having the phone on at the same time, if that makes sense. Sometimes its nice to be able to just turn my phone off, but if I want to use it for music only it sort of defeats the purpose if the phone keeps ringing in my ears. Does anyone agree?

Looks like you can turn the phone portion off. Something like an airplane mode.

Nah I wouldn't buy it. Mostly because I dislike Apple. If I put that aside though, I might consider the phone because I did like the E398 when it first came out. Although since then I used the A630 and have really learned to hate Motorola's phonebook. So yeah, even if I didn't hate Apple, I would still have to pass on it.

No I would not buy it. Not because I don't like it or anything, however 512 MB isn't enough. I own a K750i, which I flashed to a W800i and saved probably $150 in doing that and I can also listen to the music with the phone off and even have more space as I can buy a bigger card than just 512 MB

Really poor choice to go with TransFlash when they only have 512mb cards. But maybe that's just me.

I wish I could, but two things say NO to me.

1) I work for VZW. Can't beat our employee plan with Cingular's consumer plan.

2) Unfortunately, the ROKR has issues. http://www.macworld.com/news/2005/09/09/rokr/ index.php
I've also heard lots of folks complaining about the model of phone they chose for a platform, the amount of memory, etc. I think they could have had a better platform to launch this on, but it look slike Apple was dragging their feet on this. No sure about that. Sometimes it is the handset producer that has issues.

I love Apple products and have a great respect for Moto phones. I own a Moto phone, have worked a ton in testing certain apps on another. I have a couple of Apple computers, even an Apple clone mad...

Nope...
I just wouldn't see the need. Oh yea, Apple even got to plug that new Nano Ipod with the the unveiling.
Basically it's just who wants what. My phone has an mp3 player built into it, video, etc. and all so it's hard for me to justify getting another just because Apple and Moto say it's the iTunes phone.
I wouldn't, but that's just me. And I'm ok....
