That whole myth about Sprint having terrible coverage is just that...a myth. The company's combined spectrum holdings should provide for some solid nationwide coverage.

Actually there is some truth the myth. Sprints actual owned network is actually pretty puny compared to other carrier except tmobile and nextel. But, Yes the phones work off of others towers, however they dont work as well as they do when on sprints network. My boss has a Sanyo 5300 and his phone would always drop calls when he drove down a particular road that had a lot of cuts through the mountains, my v710 never did, however once he got into sprints actual owned network, he never droped calls, sometimes in worse terrain than before. When you are on a companies actual owned network, your phone works great, but when you get on someone elses tower (even if you arent roaming), you will sometimes see a
