I'm sure it will just be some more cingular junk. They need to stop focusing on phones with SO system, and silly games and FOCUS on their darn coverage. Verizon might have lame phones but atleast you can count on them. Now don't go crazy orange guys, I tried your silly service you just can't count on it. GSM carriers need to greatly improve, before I make the switch again.

Well nokia is doing this on there own behave to make more money one, and spread the availability to there series 60 smartphones and expand market share. I don't see where the article implyed this had anything to do with cingular or you switching to them neither if you are happy with your carrier thats good but nothing to ...

Honestly it's a bit close-minded to outright call Cingular at this. The N-Gage's technically unlocked, right? Since you can just sign it up with whatever pre-paid you want.

I think what should be the main topic of concern is exactly how big of a market the N-Gage really has, and why Nokia just doesn't impliment a game pack accessor that you can just hook up to your phone, instead of muddling video game stores with that trite.

Any GSM prepaid actually. And since GSM is currently the largest standard, they are just going to sell more units this way.

I think this is exactly what Nokia is addressing. They realize that the N-Gage isn't the biggest success. They know that people do want it, but would rather spend money on other highend phones. By offering N-Gage capabilities on future "smartphones", they can still sell software titles without having to make a dedicated unit. People can buy whatever phone they want and still play Splinter Cell. By doing this, N-Gage gets in more peopl...

Nokia is a manufacturer, not a GSM service. They've already stated previously that they are going to concentrate a lot on CDMA products this year (and I'm sure next year). Maybe there'll be a series 60 CDMA phone that handles N-Gage games next year? You never know.

And I don't see why not. They are definitely headed in that direction
