How cool is this? All these new stories! So many new phones and now a reason to have the PTT feature. Thanks Rich, I'm exhausted. 😁

The i860 for nextel does the samething already, just it only works with other i860's.

I believe this article is in reference to the idea of streaming video, not just sharing videos.

If you can see the other person live, then you have this feature but I didn't think that was available yet!

Actually the article refers to playing a prerecorded video over the data connection while you're making a voice call. So both parties can watch and talk at the same time.

"Nokia's system lets users begin sharing live or pre-recorded video from within a regular voice call, allowing both parties to watch the video while talking." Directly from the article. So it's for both live and prerecorded.

I wasn't even aware a current U.S. phone could do that, but that is a useful feature. The nokia version will be much more useful in that video could be recorded live, in the moment!

Sorry about the confusion 🤭

nokia's system only works on 3G networks. it is being released in italy first and then will make its way to other 3G networks after that. i believe we'll have to wait for UMTS in the states before we'll be able to use nokia's system. however it may be possible to use moorola or lg's PTV on current networks.
