Are you nuts? The Razor was the biggest joke to hit the cellular market since Surewest started requiring contracts. The style of this phone already puts the sheet-metal style of razor to shame, and it's got just as many features that are worth throwing money at. If anyone can get this phone out for less than $300 it'll be more that a razor killer, it'll be a razor humiliator.
Opinions are like bungholes...
Have you seen the new black razr?
Wicked.
The joke must be on you because the design of that phone is awesome.
It's a bit pricey for my taste, but the Razr sells like crack cocaine.
Everything about the phone is paving the way for new innovations.

This Panasonic is nice, but not as flashy or high-profile as the RAZR.
Do you want a good phone or a good looking phone? I'll take the former, Jay-Z can have the latter.

Too bad most of the reviews on the RAZR say the phone stinks, especially the basic phone capabilities.

Most reviews of the Razr stink?
Odd.
Out of the 7 pages of reviews for the phone listed here, only a handful give the phone a "bad" review, and most of those "bad" reviews only complain about the price.
Most of the reviews actually say how well the phone handles "basic capabilities".
Where do you read your reviews?

I mean if the phone is going to cost so much money shouldn't it blow most other phones away. Two words: Magnesium and aluminum.

How does the material a phone is made of have anything to do whether or not is has good features, a fast OS or is worth the bloated price it cost?

thecellavenger said:I'm of the mind that the v3 is made of slightly higher caliber materials than a Pepsi can. But that's just me...
You guys got it all wrong. Any product released to the public in mass quantities is going to cost 10-fold what it takes to make. My Pepsi can is made of Aluminm and it's still less than a buck, and if I recycle it in Oregon I get a nickel back. Razr's are good for two things, draining wallets and suckering suckers.

Not to mention, the 5 cents you get back is just the deposit you paid when you bought that pepsi can, so that portion of the argument is bogus.

I could tear a Razr in half with my bare hands. 😁 And you're missing the point. Aluminum is not that expensive. Even your uber-high quality aluminum. More expensive, yes, Enough to translate into $600? not even close. That's a little more than one of the cheapest and softest metals on the periodic table warrants. The reason the Razr is so expensive is that lame commercial campaign set out in its name where it falls from the sky and slices words in two and then penetrates a stone floor. Made even more ironic when I watch one of the poor shmucks that bought the phone drop their invincible razr 2 and a half feet only to see it split into two pieces upon impact with a tile floor. 🤣 Furtherm

Now, what would have been really cool is if the Razr had a spring loaded Razr built into it! 😈
thecellavenger said:My friend replies: "You'd have to do something pretty drastic to get the v3 to split open like that. We tested the hell out of it, and it proved to be the most durable phone we've built...we put it through hell".
😲 Hey hey! From the horses mouth! Ok, I can see that raising the price a bit. But seriously, Who thought up that ad-campaign? And I still contest that as durable as it's made to be I've seem them bust wide open at a little spill.... not reassuring when Cingular's Lockline wouldn't insure it... (That may have changed since then, but I honestly don't know....)

Didn't intend it to be a racist comment. More along the lines that his audience is between the ages of 9-21. Since the phone is $500 having someone like that advertise their product would be a waste of money.
i wouldn't sell that group short. since they aren't encumbered like most of us with mortgages, car payments, insurance payments they probably tend to have more disposable income.
besides have you seen the way parents spoil their kids today?

Not only african americans listen to Jay Z my friend. 😛
thecellavenger said:That would be "DeLorean". As in John DeLorean?
Do you measure all style by this Jay-Z standard? The Razr looks like it's something that fell off the Dalorian in Back to the Future 2. Besides, don't you think the gold foil on his teeth might interfere with the signal he gets? I think that's by far the more important question here. 😎
thecellavenger said:Tsk. Sullying our memory of a great, great movie. And it was Flux Capacitor without the Time on the front of it. And it's plutonium. LOL. This is fun. Damn youngsters...no respect for the past.
😳 Whatever. The metal car that travels time. Time Flux Capacitor optional. Get the Platonium powered engine upgrade and you might be able to go faster than 85mph and leave flaming rubber on the the ground. 🙄 The razr still looks like it fell off this hunk of crap.
thecellavenger said:Well, what do you expect? DeLorean was all coked up and making drug deals when he designed that car. I mean, c'mon...stainless steel body?
Hey hey hey.... shoot down all the complaints of the Razr you want, but please, do not accuse me of insulting one of the greatest cinematic trilogies of our time. 😉 All I'm saying is it was a rickety car and it's a rickety phone to boot.

It doesn't rust and isn't overly heavy for the time, why not use it as a body.

Wouldn't the gold foil teeth give him a better signal?!? Besides, what's wrong with back to the future? I'd love a car like that!
