Specs guys specs!!!!! this is what you get with a Razr... The Panasonic indeed looks good... I mean coming from Panasonic....but it is way too inferior compared to the Razr... the keypad image looks too cheap for a fone that slim... anyway razr specs are as follows... and you guys compare... Quad-band international capability
Polyphonic speaker and downloadable ringtones, supertones, and full-audio ringtones
Integrated digital VGA camera with 4x zoom, image quality options, and auto-timer
Photo phone book and picture Caller ID
Bluetooth capable
Built-in speakerphone
Voice activated dialing and commands*
MEdia Net (Wireless Internet Express) capable*
Data Connect capable*
POP3/IMAP4 e-mail
Video download and playback capab...

Oh my God! A currency converter? Please! Compare what the report just said the Panasonic has and you'll have a hell of a lot of similarity. And Probably $400 leftover to convert to yen.

Just by looking at the picture, the phone is not nearly as slim as the Razr. It's also plastic on the inside. The only extra thing I see so far is the camera flash. The series 60 OS is definately a plus, but I don't expect a Razr "killer" here. It will be a while before someone has the cohones to make a phone to rival the razr... at least in the style category.

Are you nuts? The Razor was the biggest joke to hit the cellular market since Surewest started requiring contracts. The style of this phone already puts the sheet-metal style of razor to shame, and it's got just as many features that are worth throwing money at. If anyone can get this phone out for less than $300 it'll be more that a razor killer, it'll be a razor humiliator.

Wicked.
The joke must be on you because the design of that phone is awesome.
It's a bit pricey for my taste, but the Razr sells like crack cocaine.

Black Razr... interesting. I am getting tired of silver phones no matter how nice. This Panasonic seems nice but it doesn't seem like it'll get the Razr in the style category. Plus it is a smaetphone where the Razr is not. Question, where and/or when is this black Razr to be available (if you know). Thanks

Most reviews of the Razr stink?
Odd.
Out of the 7 pages of reviews for the phone listed here, only a handful give the phone a "bad" review, and most of those "bad" reviews only complain about the price.
Most of the reviews actually say how well the phone handles "basic capabilities".

You guys got it all wrong. Any product released to the public in mass quantities is going to cost 10-fold what it takes to make. My Pepsi can is made of Aluminm and it's still less than a buck, and if I recycle it in Oregon I get a nickel back. Razr's are good for two things, draining wallets and suckering suckers.

Not to mention, the 5 cents you get back is just the deposit you paid when you bought that pepsi can, so that portion of the argument is bogus.

I could tear a Razr in half with my bare hands. 😁 And you're missing the point. Aluminum is not that expensive. Even your uber-high quality aluminum. More expensive, yes, Enough to translate into $600? not even close. That's a little more than one of the cheapest and softest metals on the periodic table warrants. The reason the Razr is so expensive is that lame commercial campaign set out in its name where it falls from the sky and slices words in two and then penetrates a stone floor. Made even more ironic when I watch one of the poor shmucks that bought the phone drop their invincible razr 2 and a half feet only to see it split into two pieces upon impact with a tile floor. 🤣 Furthermore, it's still ugly! It looks like a v6...

Also look at the other materialls used other than Aluminum. Magnesium for one isn't cheap to manufacture. And there is no plastic used on that phone. And throw in an Ultra thin High resolution display internal and another ultra thin smaller one on the out sie(both i believe are 262000 colour). Plus don't for get Bluetooth, camera, quadband support, speaker phone and its ultra thin design(its kinda difficult to put all that into such a small package) It drives up the price quick.

The funny thing about it is, for some odd reason Cingular wont allow you to insure the Razr, and furthermore anyone notice that the Bluetooth doesnt work properly? I know thats not the phones fault but all the great things about this phone that would make it so expensive seem to be nonexistant. So the only reason it seems anyone would want to pay an arm and a leg for a phone that looks cool and is expensive for the sole fact thet Motorola paid a lot to have it made. Thats just shallow. 😎
