I'm still trying to figure out what exactly this is all about. HTC smartphones have a 3.5mm headphone jack anybody can buy a pair of Beats headphones and use them with any smartphone that has a 3.5mm headset jack.

Ill try not to be rude, but obviously you can plug beats headphones into ANY headset jack 🤣 , they are going to use beats technology in the speakers to improve the quality... they already do this with HP computers and Chrysler cars.

Both laptops & smartphones have really, really horrible speakers!!! So if this really makes a difference, then yay!

I'm guessing the phones will feature Beats hardware and software. Possibly a "Beats" edition music player instead of the normal stock android or htc music player. just guessing though.

Me too, but I would love to see an outstanding Music app instead of the ho-hum ones that are offered currently. I'm using WinAmp on mine because the other one's are just ridiculous. But even it is only slightly better than the stock stuff. The syncing options are cool.

this is just speculation at this point but i'm sure this will allow HTC phones to use audio drivers (or amp) written / produced by Beats to improve the sound quality ..
i would assume this would work the same way that Voodoo Sound does for Android phones...
