Did HTC refuse to allow them to brand this phone Droid?
I think HTC an Verizon intially had issues over what to name this device in the first place. It was going to be a low High end devicee for Verizon initially called the HTC Lexington. Rumors circulated around that it would then be the Droid Lexington. ...

Does anyone know where I can buy this phone, I checked amazon, I asked my local best buy mobile and they don't know anything....thanks
Verizon Customer service told me they're only selling it through third parties like Best Buy right now, so if your local store doesn't have it, try other third parties like Radio Shack, Sam's Club, and Wal-Mart.

Looks Like a G2/Desire Z

Looks almost identical to the G2 with a CDMA radio, and back up GSM radio. Right down to the cpu, good pick up for VZW.
I'm not sure what you mean by "back up GSM radio", but be aware that this is a Verizon world phone. The GSM functions are strictly for international roaming. Verizon world phones will not roam on domestic GSM networks, even if they have the necessary ...

More competition

Verizon is the largest company who announce they will sell this mobile phone. Why compete with Verizon there is so much more great phones in the market too
