LBS 2010

It’s good to see that the momentum LBS had in 2010 is continuing right away in 2011. The fact that AT&T is now in the game is HUGE, and any enterprise app developer that’s serious about location-based services should really be excited about this news. Also, I’m not surprised to see LOC-AID in the middle of another big industry announcement around location. I’ve followed them for a while now, and can say that they’re definitely turning into one of the key players in LBS. They’ve got a developer-friendly platform with single API to get network-centric location data for pretty much any mobile device. A lot of good info for developers on their site (www.loc-aid.com).
