Actually I *might* consider Sprint if this HTC Supersonic ends up being everything I hear it is.
Question for you about Sprint. I'm currently w/ATT, only carrier I've ever been with, and with ATT I have the freedom to change my account ANYtime w/o it effecting a contract. I researched Tmo and there is no freedom w/Tmo they will extend your contract if you want to change your account. Contracts are suppose to be for equipment upgrades, not rate plan adjustments. So does Sprint give it's customers freedom to make changes to their acct w/o extending a contract?

T-mo is the only one left that will extend your contract any time you want to change plan. Any other company will let you change plan w/o extending.

I don't know what the deal is with Tmo!!! I really don't! Rate plans shouldn't have anything to do with evil contracts.

Everyone used to extend contracts for plan changes. But when one company stopped most others did as well. Sprint calls it the Right Plan Promise- you can change to any plan at any time with no penalty.

I don't know where this "everyone" stuff comes from. I've been with Cingular/ATT for over 8yrs+ and I don't ever remember it being that way with Cingular.
...
I've had AT&T/Cingular/AT&T forever, and they used to do it... at least the old AT&T (not sure about Cingular before the merge). A plan changed locked you in for two more years- but of course they'd never tell you when you were making the change.
...
Your talking about ATT. It's Cingular that I was with, and they didn't do it.

My ex worked at the Ocean Springs, MS call center and in retail before that. Heck yeah they did it. It was a real nice churn prevention tool.

Of course people are going to stay when their forced to!

Well if this does not fancy you with TMobile, just get one of the Even More Plus plans. No contracts at all. Unlimited talk/text/data for $80. Its the best deal going. The catch is that you pay retail for your phone which should not be a problem since you own an unlocked N95.

Isn't the retail cost of the phone split over 20 months? Isn't that how it works? I don't believe in contracts anyway, a company should earn a customer not bind them.
$80 for unlimited talk/txt, and data isn't bad @ all, does that include tethering? I use my N95 to tether via wifi.
