Samsung i730
Is there any news on the Samsung i730? Will it be Verizon? When might it be available? Also, any hints if the WIFI portion will be enabled?
...
I'm just as anxious as you are celljack...I've been checking PhoneScoop everyday to see if the rumors (that the phone will be released in mid-March) are true. ☹️ I'm just hoping that it will be on Sprint's network...their data services are must less expensive.

I did ask about that today. I was told May or June.
Of course Samsung can't discuss carriers, but I'm 90% sure Verizon will have it. Not sure if Sprint will have it also.
No word yet on wi-fi.

Thanks for the info...
Wow, I'm so tired of these rumors that torture me...I don't know if I can wait that long.

Where did the info for the release date come from? All I keep hearing is more and more dates, can you backup the aprox. release dates you said?
...
My info came straight from Samsung. From their spokespeople in the booth at CTIA, as well as people actually working on the i730 project.
Of course, carrier delays are the norm in this industry, so it could always be delayed and come out later, but I think it's safe to say it won't come out sooner.

Has Samsung mentioned any sort of ballpark pricing for this model? I expect it will be somewhere near its predecessor, right ($550)?
...
I found out more info since yesterday.
The i730 (for Verizon) will have Wi-Fi. It will not have a camera.

No camera??? 😲 Wow...that's a killer, especially since it was supposed to be >1MP. Maybe Samsung will later release a version that includes a camera, similar to the way the Harrier was handled?
Thanks for the update Rich.
