Finally!!!
Thank you ClearWire. I have read about this technology when it was first announced. Its been a worry of mine that Sprint may give up on the 4g WiMax technology. Now this really screws up the other carriers of getting enough of the spectrum to go toward WiMax. Sprint already has enough of the 2.5 Ghz spectrum to cover most of the Internet. While Clearwire also owns much of it, I'm sure they will buy some more spectrum when it gets released later this year. Now I can securely laugh at all the TM, Verizon, and At&t users, while I download my content. Ha ha ha ha!! 🤣

Yes I will repost a link on this website so you can read about it. Its a really cool technology. It has up to a 30 mile radius at 2mbps, but I think Sprint will probably go with the 10 mile 10 Mbps. The maximum speed achieved so far is 34 Mbps I am unaware of the distance. This technology is the same thing as WiBro and is already being used in South Korea and was used as an emergency communications device during the tsunami a couple years ago.

does this also mean more high-end selection?

Do you mean higher-end phones? If so go here:http://www.sanyo-keitai.com/index.shtml and check out these WCDMA phones by Sanyo. Sanyo is already creating Wimax ready phones already. If you see some of the features on these phones with a tech slower than WiMax imagine what the phones will be capable of with it.
