Making Galaxy Express ring LOUDER

I think I heard somewhere that it is possible to jack up the volume for ringtone on incoming calls on Galaxy Express . . . but I can't find any documentation in the online manual. I already have volume level as high as it can go, but can't hear the phone ring at all . . .needs to be louder.

Have any ideas?

import my own ringtones

I created a ringtone on my midi system and imported it into my old AT&T phone - I believe maybe as MP3?

Can't find anywhere in online manual for Samsung Galaxy Express with instructions for downloading this ringtone from my computer . . . or from my simcard - also cannot find instructions on how to download to my simcard.

Seems like everything I need to know is very hard to find - not liking this manual very well.

Poor battery life

I purchased two of these phones from ATT, one for me and one for the wife. Both phones have horrible battery life. We both leave the GPS off unless needed, Wifi only if we are at home and only turn on when we need to use it.

If it was consistently poor then I could live with that. But it's not. Battery will last almost a full day sometimes, then crap out before noon the next day after a full charge. Even is usage patterns remain the same.

Downloaded the JuiceDefender app and that helped somewhat.

I'm going to try and take them back. Maybe check out the LG Optimus or the comparable new model from HTC.
I have the GS3 and have no problem with battery life. I think it's because you are leaving the WiFi too much. WiFi takes less power than connecting to a cell tower (signal goes a few hundred feet instead of miles). I have WiFi at work and at home a...

I am having the same problem even when i turn off the phone fully charge at night in the morning when i turn it on it has lost at least 10% of the battery life i think i will take it back

"the first memory card slot supporting up to 64 GB"

>>the first memory card slot ADVERTISING supporting up to 64 GB

-fixed

I've had a 64Gb SDXC card in my GT-i9100 Galaxy S2 for over 6 months already. Every version of the S2 should support any 64Gb card as well.
64 GB cards are new. They literally just went on sale, and weren't available - even for testing - until recently.

No one should expect (unless they enjoy buggy products) a company to officially support something they've never even had a chance to t...

Over Heating with a Phone Case

I have a question about new S3.

What type phone case is the best for prevent the phone for over hearing and protecting the phone when drops, oopies and accidents?

I have a metal case for my phone and it works great. I've dropped my phone on concrete several times (unfortunately), and the metal case never breaks. Metal cases can also come in cool colors so I'd highly recommend it.

I found my case here:

I would reccommend the ballistic maxx series for the Galaxy s3. This is the best case I have ever had. It is built solid, has reinforced corners and has a user replacable screen protector (not offered by otterbox). Definately check it out.

The combo of color and materials

makes it look like a cherry cough drop.

Do not like.
Very true - also, this is not a phone that should be used by a matador, or anybody that likes bull fights. That would just be a bad idea.

General Availability

Well, finally got to touch one & test out somewhat @ Att store, Brownwood, Tx. today. Still none on hand, so preordered, should b shipped out tomm. Their definitely rounder than SII/Skyrocket & only about a 1/4" longer. The Super Amoloed HD screen is definitely darker, not as bright as Skyrocket. Seems very smooth & fast, with killer resolution. 😎 Also very expandable, 1st unit with up to 64gb SD card capability. The Qualcomm S4 is much, much faster than S3, even though there both 1.5ghz. The A15 n SIII has a lot more sophisticated architecture than the A9 n SII/Skyrocket, + 2gigs of ram in lieu of 1. Plus a slew of extra killer features, not availably on any other phone, can't wait. Wanted to hold out for Red, but couldn't wait.
I went into a store in NJ they didn't even have any on display but an area set aside for it. Nor could they give a date of availablity. I hope its soon.

Got It And Sold It Within An Hour

I got the phone, turned it on and realized I HATE the AMOLED screen. The whites have a blueish tint. I sold it within an hour and am going to stay with my One X.

On the plus side, the phone has the best fit and finish of any Samsung I have owned. The screen size is good and the phone fits my hand well.

To each his/her own with phone preferences.
