Siemens weighs its future.

I was just reading about how Siemens hasn't decided what to do with its mobile division. The division employs 10,000 workers and recently announced a $187 million dollar loss. The company's CEO is trying to decide whether to let another company buy it out directly, go into a partnership with another mobile manufactuer (NEC of Japan, LG of South Korea, and Ningo Bird of China) for an infusion of funds, or close the division altogether. I sure hope the last option never becomes a reality.

Well, I cant say I dislike T Mobile, but theres's a user named AberFitchDude who completely goes psycho whenever someone talks bad about T Mobile, its pretty amusing. You can find him on the T Mobile forums. He's completely in love with T Mobile.

How Will This affect the US market?

I am just wondering what Siemens sale or non-sale will do to the US.

I am not sure how many people own Siemens phones, but they don't really have a stake in the US cellphone market like Nokia, Samsung, etc.

actually siemens sells quite a few models thru cingular, and one or two through t-mobile as well. in general that still doesn't compare to their sales in other gsm markets. despite better sales outside the US, it's been quite some time since siemens w...
