Siri, the personal, voice-controlled assistant that is part of the iPhone 4S, has been unavailable to many users across the U.S. today. Siri requires Apple's servers in order to work. When users attempt to pose questions to Siri, Siri says that it can't connect to the network. Apple has not yet commented on the outage.

Siri, should I use an umbrella today?

"I can't let you do that, Dave."
Well it feels like the proverbial "piss on my head and call it rain" effect.
Going to need a very good umbrella for that.
To all the losers that just could not wait until all the software updates and bugs were ironed out before spending Mom and Dads...

Yellow screens, battery problems, Siri issues, oh my!

I find it interesting that there isn't more of an uproar on the internet or in the news. There have been screen issues, battery shortages, and now this whole thing with Siri. Does anybody else get the feeling like Apple wasn't really ready to push out a new phone, but felt pressured to release a new product just to handle the masses? +1 good points
One of the guys I work with said that the iPhone doesn't have a replaceable battery because their batteries don't go bad. I don't know where he got this idea because Apple has never said this.

One might think that there is a double standard in the tech media when it comes to Apple products or something..... 😲
SHHHH!!!!! dont let bluecoyote hear you say that 🤣
The main difference is the BlackBerry servers going down completely killed everything for them: emails, texts, etc.

This just affects Siri, you can still use everything else on the phone.

I don't imagine I'd use Siri too much if I had an iPhon...

Ah yes. As much as the media loves to build up companies, it enjoys even more tearing them apart 😁

Right now it's apples turn to be in the spotlight
Not receiving emails and pin messages vs not be able to use voice command on phone...

Boy off to as bad of a start as the I-Phone 4 antenna issue. But they still sell millions :-) gotta love it.
