CDMA/GSM combo

This is so exciting! Can it be that manufacturers and carriers are finally realizing that people just want coverage, not a wedding vow to a broadcast standard? I hope that the service providers get on board with this concept and focus on interoperability! Also not price roaming out of reach of average users! I often feel like shouting "Hey! Do you want people to actually USE your service or not?" This would be a great technology to implement in the smartphone/PDA phone marktet!

A840 looks great!

Hopefully the FCC will approve this soon so VZW can begin testing on it. I'm going to Europe next summer and will be doing a lot of driving, so it would be a great thing to have seeing as though it'll let me avoid renting a phone. I just hope all the gadgets on it don't drive up the price too much. I'd be happy with a world phone with speakerphone, but I'm not complaining.

When, if ever, this phone reaches Verizon...I shall chuck it into the Hudson, for it is a Motorola.
