Google has confirmed to eWeek that it will be launching its Goggles app on the iPhone platform. The visual recognition app scans images from the phone's camera to identify a variety of information, including bar codes, products, landmarks and more. Currently, Google Goggles is only available on Android devices running version 1.6 or better. Google also says it will release APIs for the image recognition software behind Goggles.
