Cricket Wireless has won a trademark infringement lawsuit against GSM Cellular in Arizona. According to Cricket, GSM Cellular mislead consumers to believe that its retail stores were affiliated with Cricket. The company went so far as to use Cricket's logo and even named itself "Kricket." GSM Cellular also illegally sold and distributed Cricket wireless products; initiated unauthorized activation of phones on the Cricket wireless network; and fraudulently accepted customer payments meant for Cricket Wireless. Cricket was awarded a summary judgment against GSM Cellular, which must also reimburse Cricket $78,000 in attorney fees.

Reminds me of The Pollo Loco

When I lived in Vegas there was a place called The Pollo Loco. They had similar signs and menu items as El Pollo Loco. They got away with it for awhile and it made me laugh every time I drove by.

Kinda like McDowells with the golden arcs in Coming to America.

Companies are so stupid

Why would they do that w/o authorization.

There was a local movie theater here in San Diego, CA that was called Nickelodeon Cinemas or something like that. Not affiliated with the cable channel. After like 3-4 years they were sued to oblivion by Nick.

Now it's an Ultrastar Cinemas.

LOL
