Today AT&T detailed its plans to offer 3G wireless data services in the state of Vermont. Starting this week, AT&T will start rolling out 3G services in Bennington, Brattleboro, Brownsville, Killington, Vernon, Warren, West Dover and White River Junction. A number of other markets, including Burlington, Colchester, Essex Junction, Fayston, Hartford, Jamaica, Jeffersonville, Middlebury, Rutland, South Burlington, St. Albans, Stowe, Waitsfield, West Rutland, West Townshend, West Wardsboro, Williston and Winooski, will have live 3G services by December 31. AT&T said that it has also upgraded all the former Unicel sites, integrating them with its nationwide footprint, and added a dozen new cell sites of its own in Vermont.

Howz about the Duluth, Minnesota area, eh?

Verizon and Sprint have had 3G up here for YEARS, at&t still has EDGE, and T-Mo is nowhere to be found.
Just bought a 3Gs and they showed me on their computer that 3G is going live here in Duluth on 1/28/10

Do people still live there???

J/K but dont you think they should fix there 3g issues in like say NY before they start adding more 3g?
Not really, you have to think of it this way. Update/maintain 3g and add new footprint at the same time. They could sit and add more 3g in cities that already had it, but what about the one's that do not.

Thank Verizon

Thank Big Red for AT&T expanding their 3G footprint. It wasn't till the map war started that AT&T started expanding more and making bigger plans to enhance their network. Verizon in a way helped AT&T with "intervention" 🤣
I don't believe Verizon had anything to do with this one. Verizon couldn't keep any part of Unicel in Vermont, due to the state legislators asked the FCC to make Verizon divest all of Unicel Vermont, just so the Unicel network went to a GSM carrier, ...
