MetroPCS Finally Lands WinMo 6.1

Today MetroPCS announced that it is selling the Samsung i220 Code, the first Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone available from MetroPCS. The Code features EVDO data, a memory card slot accepting cards up to 32 GB, 2 megapixel camera, and QWERTY keyboard.

MetroPCS does NOT have EVDO data in New York City

MetroPCS is limited to 1xRTT in NYC.
Furthermore, the MetroPCS Corporate Store sales persons, managers and customer service personnel do not comprehend what 3G data is at all. They cannot explain why the speed is limited to 1xRTT and are quite amused/disinterested in finding out why the ...

WinMo 6.1

Since they are a low cost option I know this is slightly behind the lastest and greatest.

But I wonder if the other restrictions include: limited data bandwidth, obviously expensive phone cost to ppl who can't afford it, and did windows not want to let MetroPCS carry one.
WONDER IF THEY ARE GONNA ADD TO THE CRICKET DUCKET AS WELL...... 🤨
