Today T-Mobile USA announced that it has reached a distribution agreement with RadioShack. Beginning later this summer, RadioShack will begin selling T-Mobile's devices and services at more than 4,000 locations around the country. T-Mobile said that the agreement nearly doubles the number of non-T-Mobile stores selling its goods and services. RadioShack is now T-Mobile’s largest national retail partner.

Joy

I already avoid Radioshack because I go there in there, the underpaid staff is desperately trying to shove a cell phone down my back.

I come in for a audio cable and clerk keeps on badgering me and wants me to sign me up for a family plan with new phones.

The audio cable was incredibly overpriced anyways.

I wonder why anyone would shop in that store.
poor mans best buy with higher prices
How is that different than a carrier owned retail employee hammering a customer to add data features they don't want or will not use? Or worse yet just adding them without the customer's consent. Talk about over priced, what about the $50.00 cases and...

Why does anyone walk into any store anymore? Why doesnt everyone simply shop online? I mean, go to ebay, criagslist, even the carriers online stores offer a discount you cant get in stores (Web Only Discount).

Truth is, people think of customers as...

Yet another thing RS will no nothing about

😲
We can spell the word know. (By the way the k is silent) So I guess we are one up on you.

Not every RadioShack employee is a pimple faced 18 year old with absolutely no knowledge or experience. We have many 30 and 40 somethings who came over from ...

just another thing for people to b**** about

not all RS will be doing this, my store is a franchise that sells vzw. the sign by the road says verizon, the sign on the store says verizon, the sign on the door says verizon, the sign on a wall in my store says verizon, our shirts says verizon and our name tags say verizon and still people complain about us being a RS and not selling sprint or at&t. don't think in anyway I tried to mis-lead people on what we sell here but I still get an ear full about it 👿

I guarintee you that I'd run circles around anyone tmobile rep. I used to run a sprint store, and have done wireless retail for 3 years. Yes, there are some stupid rs associates, but there are alot of stupid tmo reps. You're just mad cause we're gonna...

FYI Radio Shack has sold TMO for years

Radio Shack has been selling T-Mobile, att and Sprint in their hundreds of Kiosks nationwide for several years. In Sam's Clubs they are called SC(Sams Club) Kiosk. In just about every mall they are called KOI, which just sold Sprint until recently and they are now going to take over wireless sales in Target stores. These kiosks sell without the need for mail in rebates and their people are highly trained and know what they are doing. From what I have been reading, Radio Shack inc sells more wireless than anyone else..they must be doing something right, $4.821b in sales and the average employee earns $18-25 an hour in commissions.
I currently work at an SCK (we are indeed a subsidiary of RadioShack, and we just recently found out about KOIs leaving our section of the company. They will be joining the RadioShacks in their operations and leaving our subsidiary. And, yes we do kno...

Like It or Not...

This will be the way shopping will be conducted in the near future. The wireless industry has become so enormously mainstream that more and more non-corporate venues will offer devices. Most consumers(with some exeptions) have quickly adapted to making cellphones the primary form of communication. Their knowledge of how the devices work is increasing. When it comes to replacing their device, they can simply walk into Walmart, Target, Radio Shack Etc. and away they go.

Also another attraction is no "Mail In Rebates"! In my opinion, this is a pain in the neck. It does nothing but benefit the carriers who are already reaping huge revenue. My friend owns a kiosk and is seriously thinking of offering his customers the end price while he hand...
