Sprint Names More WiMax Markets

Coinciding with the news regarding WiMAX in Las Vegas, Sprint has said that it and partner Clearwire will bring WiMAX to Atlanta and Portland in August, as well. Sprint also said that it expects to have Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Honolulu, Philadelphia and Seattle live with WiMAX by the end of 2009. A combination 3G CDMA / WiMAX laptop dongle will be offered in those markets with data plans starting at $20. Sprint says WiMAX offers peak downlink speeds of more than 10Mbps with average speeds ranging between 3 and 6Mbps.

And still no Kansas CIty.....

So Clear Wire can have it there home town, but no service in Overland Park? Boo to the network planners.
lol Kansas City, i live her but come on its a medium sized market, they didn't even announce Miami which has the third largest metropolitan population in the united states and your worried about Kansas City's 500k residence.

I believe Kansas City is a targeted market in the first half of 2010. Could be wrong but I thought that was a city mentioned for rollout.
