Today Qualcomm and Broadcom announced that Qualcomm will pay Broadcom a sum of $891 million to settle the on-going patent disputes over a number of different wireless technologies. The sum, which will be paid in installments over the next four years, settles all the litigation between the two companies. Both companies have also agreed to license portions of their patent portfolios to one another as part of the settlement. The settlement marks the end of lawsuits between the two companies over wireless patents.

Finally...

This has been going on for years... remember when there was almost an injuntuction on Qualcomm 3g chips that would've stopped any 3g device from launching?

On a side note, how is the Qualcomm - Nokia thing going?
