Android has seen precious few QWERTY phones since it launched with the T-Mobile G1 two years ago. HTC's new G2 slider satisfies that need with impressive hardware and a relatively pure Android build. Will this satisfy superphone fans and newcomers alike?

Real World Speeds

Are you sure you just weren't on HSDPA 7.2? 5.6 Mbps is a cakewalk for my iPhone 4 on AT&T's network in Charlotte, and getting 2.8-3Mbps is pretty much the norm
Yup, positive. I compare against a Nexus One on T-Mo. The G2 was consistently faster. You must have great HSDPA coverage in Charlotte.
