Opera Mini Beta Available for HTC G1 Android Phone

A beta version of Opera Mini 4.2 has recently become available in the Android Market. Users of the HTC G1 Android phone can download the beta browser for free as an alternative to the browser already included on the G1. Opera Mini 4.2 beta is also available on other platforms.

Not really needed

Opera Mini is great for a phone with a crappy web browser(PIE) or no web browser. But the regular web browser is a lot better and opera mini doesn't seem any faster.

It is a nice alternative if you prefer opera mini. Would rather see opera mobile instead.
Yes, it is true that the built-in browser suffices very well, but considering that Opera is making a program for Android, show how much potential the G1 (and future android phones) could get.
