New Touch Phone Confirmed By HTC

An HTC executive recently confirmed that the manufacturer will be releasing a new Touch series phone next month, possibly at an event the company has scheduled in London on May 6. The phone is a Windows Mobile device with the codename Diamond. The executive said the phone will be its most important device of the year.

in my opinion, there's pretty much nothing any one can do to compete with the iphone. no other company is willing to dump that much money into advertising, and if they are, they probably don't have the means necessary. all of these companies are trying to produce touch-screen phones and they don't realize that it's just another futile attempt at de-throning apple. if a company wants to compete, they need to think of something new because copying apple just is not going to cut it.

There may be a version for Sprint, but if so, it certainly won't be the only version. The event is in London and the plan to sell it to "most major carriers globally".
