Verizon is launching a new effort to improve its customer service. First, for "complex issues", the company will now assign a dedicated "Customer Champion" to provide updates and ensure full resolution. Those updates can be provided however the customer prefers: "via the myVerizon app, text messages or call backs". Verizon says the goal is that "customers only need to call once, and we take it from there." Second, the company is extending its call center hours to midnight (previously ending at 7pm), and expanding its live chat support hours to 24/7.

Finally!

It's about time! Reaching a live representative at Verizon in recent years has literally been a nightmare. They constantly pushed their robotic system, providing irrelevant answers to questions no one ever asked. Overall, their service sucks! I live in a densely populated area, and even on major streets and at business centers, their reception is terrible. T-Mobile has surpassed Verizon in my area by leaps and bounds! No wonder so many people have left the overpriced Verizon with their poor-quality service.

Verizon, can you hear us now?
