OnePlus today began to distribute OxygenOS 4.0 to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. OxygenOS 4.0 is based on Android 7 Nougat and includes revised notifications and settings menu designs; support for multi-window view; notification direct replies; expanded Shelf customization tools; and more options for the status bar icon. In a forum post, OnePlus thanked beta testers and said their feedback led to improvements in performance across the OS. OxygenOS 4.0 will be made available to a small number of users today, with a broader rollout planned for the next few days.
