Google Maps for iOS Adds Spoken Traffic Warnings

Google has added several new features to Maps for iOS devices, including proactive traffic alerts. Now, when navigating, Maps will warn iPhone users about upcoming congestion or other traffic issues so they can make alternate plans. Maps now allows iPhone users to add missing businesses using the sidebar tool, as well. Google Maps for iOS is free to download from the iTunes App Store.

Apple has revealed the iPhone 14 series, with new features, improved specs, and new size options. In place of a Mini option, the iPhone 14 will come in the same 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen size options as the Pro models.

Adobe has released a new version of its free Acrobat Reader app for iOS and Android that can intelligently reformat the content of PDF files to make it easier to read on a mobile phone. The new feature, called Liquid Mode, uses Sensei, Adobe's AI engine.

Apple has officially opened up the technology behind "Find My iPhone" to non-Apple devices. The first devices using the new program ship next week, including bicycles from VanMoof, true wireless earbuds from Belkin, and a keychain-style tracking tag from Chipolo.
