Opera Software today announced Opera Max App Pass, a tool that allows network operators to give customers limited access to select mobile applications at no cost. Opera Max is one of Opera's mobile browsers. It uses server-side compression to reduce data consumption. As long as Opera Max is installed, operators can provide customers with free access to a handful of apps with no charge against the customer's data plan.
