Motorola Hints At Future Plans

Motorola has recently hinted a a number of changes and new products the company has ready for 2006. The company announced that in addition to partnering with Apple, they will now take a page from the computer maker's playbook - waiting to announce new handsets until the day before they will be released. Motorola also will unveil new phones based on popular modern formfactors like sliders and spinners. Finally Motorola and Cingular have revealed that there is a new ROKR for 2006 that will have a 1 MP camera, 3.5 mm standard headset jack, a slider form factor, and enough storage to hold 1000 songs (about 4GB).

1. Motorola's OS doesnt suck. It does everything all the other phones do with a slightly different set of steps. If its not what you're used to, it 'sucks'. Thats a closeminded ignorant way to think!
2. Systemshock - speak English, not engrish.
3. Its a brilliant marketing strategy by Moto. That way the phones are available when you hear about it. Its not one of those silly things where you have to wait a year to get something cool. It also prevents other from outright stealing their ideas and beating them with the release.

Motorola's OS DOES suck. Yes it does most of the things other phones do and yes in different steps. But that is what makes the difference. Nokia and LG both do similar things but usually in different ways. They both also do them in intuitive, friendly...

Don't BE like Apple, WORK more with them
What Moto really needs is to work more closely with Apple. Instead of trying to be like them, they should design handsets, and then have Apple write the OS for the phone. Unless of course Apple comes out with their own line of phones altogether in which case they'll most likely run circles around Moto's handsets. Or pretty much anybody elses for that matter.
Or not. Apple has no experience with phones, the experienced one always make the rookie look like a retard.
