Our video hands-on with Sprint's new flagship PDA phone running Windows Mobile 6.

First Sprint chopped the antenna off the Palm OS Treo and now they've cut the fin off their flagship Windows Mobile phone as well. The Mogul replaces the venerable PPC 6700 with a flashier design, updated operating system and higher resolution camera - as well as the possibility of EV-DO Revision A. Sprint is expected to release a software update in the future which will allow the Mogul to access the net at even higher speeds than standard EV-DO.

Camera Sucks

The camera on my Mogul sucks. I spent the weekend comparing the pictures to the pictures taken by a 700 WX. The 700 WX has a much clearer picture. Actually my previous Samsung phone has a better picture. I tried adjusting nearly every thing on the camera and even turning on the flash.

Is it just me? Anyone else got this problem.

Mogul vs 8525

Personally, I think the 8525 looks a little more refined. Also, the 8525 has PTT, support for Cellular Video, XM Radio Mobile and MobiTV. The only clear advantage I see here, is that the Mogul already has Windows Mobile 6. But the 8525 will have an update available for 6 in mid-late July.
this also can do xm/sirius/ and windows streams. also mobitv/sprint tv is also here. but a clear advantage vs the 8525 is you can gety broadband almost everywhere vs HSDPA and wireless music downloads that doesnt use your phones memory.

Mogul is a better unit simply because it is a newer product. Thinner, more powerful, etc. There is no comparison.

The Kaiser is coming and then it'll be the best, and so on and so forth.

Im torn

I'm wondering does this phone come with an im client built in like aol instant messenger because the 6700 didn't have one and I would really like to get this phone and proclaim best smart phone yet also I hope it doesn't take sprint to long to come out with that evdo rev a update as far as mms goes i know they will hack it of verizon when they get the phone so im not worried about that. but what really makes this phone worth 550, I wan't it so bad but if i get it I don't want to be disappointed
I have this phone and I have to say it is very worth it. As far as a messenger program it, like the 6700 comes with MSN Messenger (Now Windows live messenger). It all depends on what you are upgrading from and what you are going to be doing on it. ...

Can purchase the phone online, over the phoone, instore.. whats up

As of Monday June 20 current subscribers cannot buy one. Or maybe its just my Sprint account.

Yeah it’s out alright but just try to buy one as an existing customer.

I tried buying it on Monday June 20 both online and over the phone and of course they are not sold in stores yet.
Online it stated that I was not eligible to upgrade or buy it full price.

On the phone two different sales reps stated that it was not on their list of phones for purchase.
They had to go to their website www.sprint.com to see that it was even available.

Never mind the fact that they WOULD let me buy it online as a NEW subscriber.

I have been sooo waiting for this phone... and now I CAN GET IT.... AHHHHHHH
I called the customre retention department on Monday and Tuesday the phone was on my door step. try calling them. Good luck. Dealing with Sprint has become very difficult lately.

No MMS

For that, I give it an 8.5 rating 😢
Who cares, Sprint charges more for that anyway. Just send your picture through the email client on the phone instead. I don't why people make such a big deal over MMS.
