Twitter today pushed updates to its Android, iOS, Mac, and browser-based services. The update adds one critical new feature: Twitter will now sync direct messages, so if a message is read on one device, it will appear read on other devices. Until today, users would have to mark read messages on each device from which they access Twitter. Other new features include improvements to search, including account profile previews, and easier access to conversations. Twitter is free to download and use.
