Nokia's HERE Maps Lands in App Store for iPhone

Nokia's new HERE mapping application and service is available from the iPhone App Store beginning today. The application offers iPhone owners public transportation and driving directions, voice-guided walking directions, searchable maps with history and suggestions, and the ability to sync saved places across devices. The HERE map application also include live traffic and satellite views, offline map support, and coverage for nearly 200 countries. The application is free to download and use.

Mind share about to increase?

Nokia seems to be taking advantage of iPhone's currently poor mapping software. This may get Nokia's Here, formally known as, Nokia Maps, a bit of a boost. Assuming, it proves to be a worthy contender to services like Google maps.

I guess, your experience will depend on where you are in the world. I hope they continue to bolster the map features and info, since I do plan on upgrading to a WP8 device.
It's pretty ridiculous that any Mapping app can't do what you want it to do. All we really need is proper direction from Point A to Point B, a graphical representation of that journey, and turn by turn navigation. By now, ANY mapping app should have...
