updated Just three weeks after officially acquiring AT&T Wireless, Cingular today announced the launch of the "new" Cingular throughout the U.S.. Last night, while stores were closed, more than 14,000 employees across the U.S. performed an after-hours makeover of more than 1,000 former AT&T Wireless locations. Each store now has a full inventory of Cingular phones, accessories and signage. Another approximately 10,500 agent locations will be converted in the coming months. AT&T Wireless phones and plans are no longer being sold in company stores, nor on the attwireless.com website. Employees throughout the U.S. have completed more than 2.2 million man-hours of new training to ensure a smooth transition.

I'd have to have my service cut off until my phone came in the mail, pa...
