Kyocera Announces New Smartphone

Kyocera Wireless Corp. today announced the Kyocera 7135 smartphone. The 7135 features a clamshell design, CDMA2000 1X high-speed data technology, a high-resolution screen with 65,000 colors, Assisted GPS (A-GPS) technology, and an MMC/SD expansion card slot. Additional features include an MP3 player, external caller-ID display, speakerphone, voice-activated dialing, Eudora email, and three modes of Web access (HTML, Web Clipping and WAP). Featuring Palm OS 4.1 and 16MB of on-board memory, the Kyocera 7135 also offers the complete functionality of a Palm organizer.
