I have the Contour Flick (you can find it in the Apple store) Good slim case and people just looking at it won't even think there is a case on there. I dunno about protection about dropping cuz I've never dropped my phone on anything but carpet or so....but it seems this case is pretty good. Check it out.

use a serial connection as your connection to the phone and it should work. you'll also need bitpim. Read my post below to see how to make custom ringtones.

To make your own custom ringtones you'll need a couple of things:
1) A bluetooth dongle (found off ebay or your local computer store)
2) Bitpim - A free program that allows file transfers to and from the phone. (do a google search and you'll find it no problem)
3) A program to cut MP3's into an appropriate length and size. (I use iTunes)
Just to let you know ahead of time you will have to pay for the "first" initial ...

How to make your own custom ringtones without having to flash your phone
I'm sure a whole bunch of you already know how to make your own custom ringtones but this is for the ppl who are just browsing.
If you have your phone locked and your carrier has put an mp3 restriction on it you cannot assign mp3's as ringtones, therefore you'll need to convert the mp3 to a wav file.

I would imagine you could use Nero Recode 2 since the Pearl says it allows for Mpeg4 playback. My video Ipod allows Mpeg4 videos and that is how I put full length DVD's onto my Ipod so I assume the Pearl woudl eb the same. I personally don't have a Pearl but will be getting one in the next couple of days so I'll keep you posted if it works or not -- or if you find ...

So what if you have the phone in your pocket then you hear the phone ring. When you pull the phone out of your pocket, is there any chance of the trackball rubbing against the inside of your pocket and silencing the ringer?
