Re: HSPA
WiMax? are you serious? This isn't a joking matter lol besides Sprint service isn't that good in the Loop area.
HSPA
MAN!!! Could Chicago get some HSPA love too soon!!

I was wondering if anyone has gotten their Froyo 2.2 update yet. not the self installed one but the one Google is pushing out.

Re: disappearing phone #'s? Help?
lol it sure is a blur no pun intended
Re: rawr
i'm on your ship buddy. i also got the Nexus One because i got tired of waiting for this phone to hit markets.
the funny thing is that this phone will be updated to 2.1 later this spring. :x GREAT! :( i love my Nexus One :D . tough luck fender, u took too long :paranoid: .
Re: FML
they gave me a tracking # but it didnt post till after the 15 minutes Google gave me to cancel the order expired. actually the tracking didnt post till later on that night.
Re: pretty impressed
told you. I'm just suprised that Google hasnt made any effort to put any ads on tv for the device. if Google had ads on tv like the Droid and iPhone did, Google wouldve sold more than 20,000 units in their first week. heck maybe even more than the iPhone and Droid combined. but, im not in charge here so who cares. I got my Nexus, and I'm very satisfied with it. :)
Re: FML to ECANTU
My wife has the Cliq, I may have to test the differences in speed out.
Re: FUNNY STUFF
not that i am aware of. last i heard was that Philladelphia was the only city testing 7.2 mbps. unless they've added Chicago not long ago. because my web is pretty fast when I'm not in a patchy area.
Re: FML to ECANTU
Guess what? I'm replying with my Nexus. Pretty fast huh? Stop salivating on my post. Thank you.
Re: FUNNY STUFF
Guess what, I got 3G service on my Nexus. All these forums are wrong. Or maybe they live in low populated areas where 3G is bad. I'm in Chicago, and our 3G is rockin!!
Re: FML to ECANTU
I'd hate to be ur customer. Ur the type who sees the glass half empty huh? Btw my phone works great. Thank you ;)
Re: FML
Nobody asked for your input. But thanks for being mature and considerate.
Re: FML
well I live in Chicago, so we get pretty good coverage here. and to answer your questions, the battery life seems to be good. I'll post you later on that because this will be the first full day that i use it. and no this is not the 1st android device that i've owned. I've had the G1, and the Mytouch. I already have Advanced Task killer and Pandora on my device. but I'm considering uninstalling Pandora because I ...
Re: FML
heck yea, the whole fun of me getting it was being the first to have it. the anxiety of having to wait for the "phenom" phone. works fine, I've never had any issues with T-Mobile or HTC. battery is great! but when i read about the 3G issues on the Nexus the price began to make me reconsider the purchase. when I got home I played with it and I noticed that i did have 3g service on it. ...
Re: FML
hahaha yes, it was 30 minutes early actually. glad someone was home to sign for my device.
BTW, the 3G seems to work fine. it's kinda patchy, but it works.
Re: FML
@Jayshmay: thanks..
@ELLS2187: I pay retail for phones. Why? because I can, and I have have the funds to do so. besides the fact that i dont like being being stuck with two year contracts. NOOB
pretty impressed
So after ranting about Tmobile not being able to support the Nexus One's 3g and actually playing with my phone I have come to the conclusion that the web is indeed 3g speed. Well it seems to work as fast at the mytouch and I could live with that. Overall I am pleased and happy with my purchase. :D :-)... :-)...
Re: FML
good thing is if they're 60 seconds late than the estimated delivery time, they refund your delivery fee.. *crosses fingers* i have yet to recieve my device and it's expected to be delivered at my front door by 3:00pm central time.
Re: FML
F**k My Life
Re: FML
Taxes and shipping. Illinois Taxes are pretty high.... and FedEx charges an arm and a leg for "OVERNIGHT"... I purchased my phone Friday, and I was expecting it Saturday (because i was charged 50 some dollars for shipping). Apparently my $50 dollar shipping fee wasnt enough fr them to deliver it on saturday.
FML again.
Re: FML
I'm in Chicago. high taxes. :(
Re: FML
i paid $586 with shipping and handling included. the phone WAS $529 until checkout :) FML again
Re: FML
actually smarty pants, i am a phone addict. i've had the G1, Mytouch and iphone all within the past 12 months. I understand that this is Google's first handset, but it's also 2010 so cell phone makers, companies, and corporations should have their things together. no excuses.
I understand that the phone works well without the 3g, but i'm paying for 3g web NOT EDGE.. gonna have to sniff out a credit of some sort for this.. seriously WTF? I ...
FML
I'm supposed to get my $586 phone today. glad to find out that it'll be a great lookin paper weight. will be looking foward to a full refund. :paranoid:
thanks Google and T-Mobile, you guys have made my Monday Morning a great one! *End Sarcasim*
lmao
a certain company is eating it's own words now.. if I remember correctly, I remember reading that they will NOT be on the Android bandwagon. bawk... bawk bawk....... hahaha
Re: Our 3G network covers approximately 233 million people, or 75% of the U.S. population
iPhone= ugh :? Android= aaahhhhh :-)...
Re: Lame City
they're just mad because the iPhone is as cold as a frozen turkey now a days. yet, they're locked into some ridiculous contract with them for a couple more years. thats what happens when you play monopoly by yourself
