T-Mo does it like most I think, they have plans that include unlimited 'net usage or if you don't buy one of those you can pay by the kb. Most everyplace that you can get a phone signal you can use GPRS and many fairly well populated areas you get the faster EDGE. EDGE still isn't all that fast though - T-Mo doesn't have a real "broadband" service yet. The smartflip has an especially nice feature for mp3s ...

I have both of these devices although by other names as I'm not a Cingular customer. T-Mobile calls their version of the HTC K-Jam the "MDA" and I have had one of those for several months. I also have an i-Mate "Smartflip" which is like Cingular's "8125". (All of these devices are manufactured by HTC.) They really are completely different devices intended for different purposes. it uses the same jack for everything - only has one - but it isn't a conventional mini-usb jack it is a proprietary ultra flat jack. however, I got a mini-usb to weird usb convertor cord (from expansys I think) and it works for both synching and charging

Main difference between what? All of them have external music controls (Qtek 8500, i-Mate Smartflip, Dopod S300, and the original - the HTC Star Trek if they ever really produce that). However it is too difficult to change memory cards because they located the thing under the SIM card which itself is under the battery, plus the connector is proprietary so none of our existing headphones are going to fit it.
