Re: why so damn expensive?????
60 bucks !! Plus you STILL cannot do it via bluetooth. As if customers aren't pissed off enough. This is an insulting resolution and embarassing for Verizon. Unlimited data on Sprint is $39 to tether using bluetooth or cable. This plan was just announced..it used to be included in your internet package. The money-hungry Verizon strikes again. Also..if you get a pocket pc device on Sprint you don't need to buy a ...
Re: Verizon finally gave in !!
Also, last month I made 700 minutes worth of mobile to mobile calling..I would hate for that to go towards my peak minutes
Verizon finally gave in !!
Sounds like the big one could use some cash allowing MVNO. I see a busy network in their future!! Big question..will they cripple bluetooth and other core functions on their service like the shady Verizon. Sounds like the only reason to get Verizon service now would be the m2m. Verizon should never allow Amp'd to be a part of their calling area. Digging the grave
Re: Class Action #2!!!!
I've been saying the same thing in all my posts..well put !! I left Verizon for Sprint and am completely satisfied with their service. Bluetooth is uncrippled, the phone's original software is in tact, EVDO is way ahead of the game. I hope more people wake up to Verizon's power trips. PLUS YOU WILL SAVE MONEY !!!
Re: Regarding This Post- (Note):
Oh..and I agree the music downloads are too expensive. However, i don't need an ipod..my 512mb trans flash card on my phone works great. Plus I get 20 stations of cd quality internet music from Sprint. Or I can choose Sirius Satellite Radio.
Re: Regarding This Post- (Note):
I spoke to executives at Sprint and Verizon at the CES show in Las Vegas and they confirmed it. The restriction is you can only use half you alotted minutes on roaming. I definately believe Verizon is NOT worth the price in the Southern California market. I know all about consumer reports and the jdpower reports. I also know most people are happy paying more for Verizon because of previous experience with Sprint. I ...
Re: Regarding This Post- (Note):
Your "example" doesn't make sense. San Diego and Los Angeles are coverage areas for Sprint and Verizon. I can switch my phone anytime to "roaming only" mode and pick up their signal. Not that I need to since I find Sprint's coverage is fine in both cities. If Sprint is that good here then I'm sure there other cities where consumers can benefit from lower prices, great call quality, and more features from the cellular ...
Re: Get your correct info here...
I agree..I won't be using any music source sponsored by a wireless carrier. If you must have music on your phone..own a phone with an SD card reader (I have 512mb trans flash), then download to pc from any number of sites for .99 or cheaper, transfer to card and then to phone. Over the air downloads are too expensive and if it's going to internal memory, most phones don't have much. Next, they need streaming music.
Re: Regarding This Post
Hey System..you dont need to get back to me on anything..Sprint DOES roam on Verizon and you can use half your allotted minutes on their network if needed. Listen to these responses to yours. I have had both services too. You don't seem to realize that other carriers have improved their network drastically to compete. It's all about VALUE. I'm not saying Sprint has the best customer services..honestly i could care less. Sprint ...
Re: Regarding This Post
It's easy to say Verizon has the best service..but it's all relative. Yes Verizon has the most cell towers and coverage in the U.S. But you do pay a premium for this. Verizon used to be the only game in town..other carriers have caught up in major markets like Southern California. I never get dropped calls with my Sprint service, their voice plans are a much better VALUE, their EVDO is cheaper and a bit ...
Re: Go with Sprint...Verizon SUCKS!! | OH SHUT UP
Well said..you must work for Verizon. Name calling is real mature too.
Re: Go with Sprint...Verizon SUCKS!!
Guys..as of now Verizon has more EVDO coverage then Sprint. They have had it for a year and wanted to be the first to develop it..I went to the launch party in San Diego. However, in just a short time Sprint has launched several markets and will catch up. My point is Verizon has had this service and has chosen not to use it to its full potential. Instead they cripple phones and charge more ...
Re: Go with Sprint...Verizon SUCKS!!
I can easily say it has the best music experience right now because IT DOES !! Go read any article that talks about it..try cnet.com. I'm glad Verizon is catching up with MP3 downloads..its only took them a year after deploying EVDO. They will still be behind even after this comes out..unless they get streaming music. Also..Sprint's EVDO speeds have been clocked faster then Verizon's.
Re: Go with Sprint...Verizon SUCKS!!
First off..read my reply to the other guy about making calls in your house. Second, you say people don't need bluetooth and EVDO. You are wrong..people could be saving money with EVDO if they knew how to use it. I got rid of my home dsl line and just send the evdo signal from my phone right to my laptop for unlimited broadband data. MP3..are u kidding?? Do you know how many IPOD's they ...
Re: Go with Sprint...Verizon SUCKS!!
Great observation..here is my answer.. I agree making calls in your house is important..did you know that Sprint will roam on Verizon's network with the touch of a button with no roaming charges? I can even set my Sprint phone to pick up ONLY Verizon's signal. Plus their plans are much cheaper. I can name plenty of homes too where Sprint gets a signal and Verizon does not. It's all relative.
Go with Sprint...Verizon SUCKS!!
For the best music experience..go with Sprint. They don't cripple software in their phones. Sprint music is amazing..download mp3's to phone and PC. Or you can listen to streaming audio..like XM Radio and MSPOT radio. The quality is amazing. Verizon is behind and is not doing much with their EVDO service. I can watch LIVE TV on my phone and have CD quality radio and its an MP3 player. Verizon has only ...
