What took them so long?
I've been looking for a note taking app that is simple to use, cloud abilities, and baked into the OS. Well, the first two seem to have been accomplished. Can it now be part of the standard set of Google apps?

Re: Wow
Hey Haggard, you nailed this one! Innovation is hindered by comfort.
Re: That loud noise is Microsoft shooting itself in the foot
It is just like when they initially released WP7 Microsoft tried to convince us that copy & paste is not needed. I have not used any Windows Phones so take my comment with a grain of salt. I am an Android user but I am also rooting for Microsoft as competition is good for the consumer. They are starting on a wrong foot.

Re: A few companies are following the rule sooo let's not enforce it at all
This doesn't make sense. I would like to know the logic they applied to making jailbreaking tablets illegal. Are they specifically talking about 3G tablets, or does this also apply to tablets with WiFi only? I would hope this doesn't apply to the latter!
At the very least, a device purchased at full price should be unlocked.

Re: IOS 6 offers very little over existing phones/features
...and that is Apple's story. They take existing concepts, integrate them into an almost flawless user experience that the masses will enjoy. I applaud Apple for that as thanks to their leadership competition has given us great devices today.
I am a developer and prefer the flexibility offered by platforms like Android. However, I need to give credit where credit is due.

Firstly, Windows Mobile is generally geared towards business users. Multitasking is very necessary to remain productive in a mobile world. I would like to see someone try to create a email using data from a spreadsheet and a word document on the fly without multitasking.

Re: BS
I can't believe they actually said this.
"...but Microsoft says most users, including Office users, don't really need clipboard functionality."
Yeah Jayshmay, they're really going out of their way provide a "dumb" OS on a smartphone. WinMo has always been the advanced user's OS, apparently the advanced user only accounts for a tiny segment of the market.

Re: 2 quick questions on this phone
For a device like the 6700, I think all bluetooth profiles should be enabled. The reason Eric suggests for the disabling of OBEX doesn't seem to be strong enough. OBEX should be enabled with a DISCLAIMER of it's security issues. It should be left for the corporate individuals to make the decision of using it or not. I've never used OBEX before, but doesn't there have to be handshaking between the two devices before data is transfered?
Because of the ...
Re: Voice command via bluetooth
Thanks for the reply! It's sad that such a great piece of equipment lacks a functionality that seems so... basic.
Will probably hold off for the Treo 700. That seems promising.

Voice command via bluetooth
Hey,
I've read on another site that voice command via a bluetooth headset is impossible. Is this true? Will this not work with third party programs (Microsoft Voice Command, Vito Voice Dial??)?
I have a samsung A680 and I use voice command a lot through my wired earpeice. I want to upgrade to bluetooth with the same functionality. Lack of BT VoiceCom will break this deal for me. I might sadly go for the Samsung MM-940. I hear voice signal works ...
Re: phone keeps shutting off
Mine started giving me such issues, that is, it will turn off with any pressure or flip. Try cleaning the battery contacts and see what that does for you. Ever since I did that, I've been fine and that was about 2-3 months ago.
