It's actually on my desk, sitting in a desktop charger. I get to work, switch it to "Vibrate Only" and sit it into the desktop charger for the day. Sometimes it's just sitting ON my desk, NOT in the charger, and it still does the same thing. Sometimes it will vibe, and sometimes it just lets the ringers ring anyway. Doesn't make any sense.

OK so I've switched from the Samsung A900 to this (RED) V3m. It's a sexy phone, and even though I feel the speaker quality for music ringers is FARRR superior on the A900, I'm happy with my choice. HOWEVER... why is it that, when I switch the phone over to "Vibrate Only", it occasionally will allow the phone to ring?? I don't get it. A900 Freezing Up, Restarting on is Own!
I've had my A900 for several months now, and am generally satisfied with its performance.
HOWEVER... I notice on occasion while the phone sits by itself, that it will power off and power back on, all by itself!
Also on occasion, the phone will freeze up when I am receiving an incoming call, and it will not let me answer with ANY key, when I close the phone it doesn't change anything, and I can't even press and hold the End ...
Desktop Charger for the Samsung A900??

Curious to know if anyone's heard anything about whether or not Samsung's going to put out a desktop charger for this phone. I realize the design will be a challenge, with the charging port on the SIDE of the phone, but if they came up with one, I would most certainly buy it!!

Samsung Blade Offered in COLORS?
With the recent release of the Sanyo Katana in all those colors, I was wondering if anyone heard anything about whether or not Samsung is ever going to respond to the OBVIOUS market out there for different color A900 phones. I would LOVE to purchase the Blade in a different color, like Blue or Pink.
Has anyone heard anything definite about this, either way?

So where are you buying these extended batteries for the A900 from? eBay? Because I called Sprint PCS and they said they currently do not offer it and if I go ahead and buy it through eBay I could void my warranty.

I've been with Sprint PCS for many years now. I would have to say that about 97% of the time, my text messages are received in a timely manner, if not immediately. Every once in a while there will be a delay of about 15 minutes or so, but that doesn't happen all the time. If you're having delays that long, and more often than not, you should contact Sprint PCS Customer Care.
Samsung A900 Ringer Settings
When you open the A900, the silver button to the left of the LCD screen will adjust your ringer volume from a high of level 8 to "Silence All." 1 up just after "Ringer Off" is the selection for "1 Beep." Is there any way you can select your own sound effect for the "1-Beep" sound? :?

I did switch phones. However here was a manufacturer defect in the outer LCD, so I was going to send it back to where I bought it for an even exchange. One of the company's policies for returns is that you don't have a total talk time on the phone that exceeds 30 minutes. I can't figure out how to find out the total talk time that's been used on the phone so far.

Thanks, gatman, but this only shows me how many minutes I've used currently in my monthly plan. what I'm looking for is the total minutes used on THIS PARTICULAR PHONE. Do you know if there's any way to do that?

I bought my A900 last week from LETSTALK.COM. Phone is great, all except for one thing: the external LCD started whiting out on me this morning, one minute the display would show, the next nothing but white. Now it appears as if it's cracked or something. Phone was never dropped or mishandled at all in the 4 days I've had it so far. Still have the original plastic film on the outside. I just bought the A900 and so far, I really like it!
I would also be interested in a desktop charger, but frankly with the silly design of having the port on the side like that, it would have to be a desktop charger where the phone connects by lying on its side! Still don't know why Samsung designed it like that!
HOWEVER, if anyone has any info on whether or not Samsung will be putting a desktop charger out ...
External, Desktop Speakerphone Dock?

Does anyone know if there is an external, desktop style speakerphone available for the PPC-6600 phone? (Sort of like the external speaker kits they make for iPods, etc.) I'd like to take handsfree speakerphone calls while I'm at my desk, and I don't like the sound quality of the 6600's built in speakerphone. I like the keyboards they have available at www.thepocketsolution.com, but so far haven't found an external speakerphone unit to dock this phone into.
RINGTONES FOR THE APACHE 6700??
I am about to switch from the PPC-6600 to this new 6700 version. I didn't like that you aren't able to assign different ringtones to different callers so you can HEAR who's calling and don't have to look at the phone every time it rings. Will I be able to assign different ringtones to different callers on this new 6700?
