Where I am, Cingular out-performs Verizon, at least in my opinion. I just tried going back to verizon and was dissapointed by the call quality compared to Cingular. oh and I have NEVER had a dropped call with Cingular, can't say the same about Verizon.

nevermind. I just now received the message with the atatched ringtone. that really disappoints me that it took nearly 12 hours to send to my phone. but at least I know it does work.

oh ok. well Luckie, maybe you can help out then. THere is no message on my phone to access the ringtone. like i said, it looks as if it is downloading something, then turns off for a second and comes back up with a "no service" displayed for a second and is back to normal. but I receive no message. I'm setup on vzwpix.com so I have no idea what to do. I'm probably just ...

hey phone tech, I tried loading a ringtone exactly how you said to on your pdf, but all I got on my v710 was packet data and what looked like something downloading, then my phone would say no service. thats it, nothing downloaded. am i doing something wrong?

A friend of mine had the same problem the first week he had the phone. he simply took off the battery cover, popped the battery out and re-seated it and hasn't had the problem since.
Trimble Outdoors Silver GPS program
I'm with verizon right now but seriously considering switching to Nextel and will probably get the i730 since i know someone who has that phone it has been working for him very well. my profession is heavily involved with geographic information and the big thing i like about the i730 is that i can use the GPS and if i want, download trimble's program for it to make it a true handheld GPS (from what i've read). ...

i've been reading a different 6620 thread above saying how people have had problems with their phones locking up with aftermarket MMC cards in them, and after they put back the factory 32M card, it doesn't lock up anymore. I'm with verizon at the moment (and unfortuantely for quite a few more months) and i'm almost dead set on switching to Cingular. I'm looking at either the 6620 or 6230 and want to know what quirks are ...

i think he meant that with any phone, the speaker phone is good at picking up ambient noises and it drains the battery, hence why he likes the 650.

I'm with Verizon right now in the midwest and after my contract is up I'm looking at either Cingular or nextel. just out of curiosity, what are your arguments against verizon (I'm trying to find every reason to leave them, just not right now because i would have to pay a 350 early termination fee since I'm on a family plan).
