To be fair, slide to unlock as well as look and feel are not considered essential.
Re: It is simple...
I still don't get why texting is dumb, regardless of one's age. If you text heavily, yes, you are dumb if you don't have messaging package on your plan. But if you have a messaging plan, texting *can be* more economical than voice calls (e.g., $30 Messaging Unlimited for Families). Yes, AT&T and other carriers are price gouging and should be criticized as such, but that doesn't make texting dumb, even if you are a teenager that sends hundreds ...

For 2GB capacity that you must purchase in addition to the phone for around $50 or more? And no WiFi, no 850 MHz, and lower resolution LCD.
Re: New Cingular ETA
At this rate... by the time Cingular releases 6126, the rest of the world will be using next generation 6126/6131/6133. Playing the devil's advocate for a moment, I understand why Cingular wants to iron out as many bugs as possible. Cingular must carry the burden of buggy phone and lower support means higher profit. That said, Cingular's current phone line-up is very weak and it must expedite the approval/testing of "hot phones" such as 6126, Motorola RAZR V3i, and ...
No Bluetooth = full feature my a$$
Without Bluetooth, it would be wrong to call a phone full-featured.
